Aða Studio explores the space between discovery and making. Rooted in the Icelandic landscape, it follows a natural instinct to search — to turn over stones, follow the tide, and notice what might otherwise remain unseen. Materials shaped by time — stones, shells, and small fragments from nature — are gathered and carried into new contexts. They are preserved within soaps or set into handcrafted silver jewellery, offering a way to keep a part of the natural world close at hand. This approach extends to a curated selection of vintage accessories and tableware, chosen for their quality, character, and enduring visual presence.

Founded in Reykjavík by a mother and daughter who come from the field of music, the studio also brings together their wider interests — with a shared focus on objects with character, material quality, and lasting presence.

Aða Studio takes its name from the small mussels along Iceland’s shores — a reference to place, and to growing up close to the sea and its rhythms.
